Primary Purpose:

While some agencies are wavering over Health Care Reform, AHCP is growing at a rapid pace. We are currently looking for a talented Agency Services Account Representatives to join our growing team.


Reporting to the Department Manager, the Agency Services Representative will be responsible for assisting agents in the field by processing carrier applications, answering commission inquires, providing direct support in the on-boarding of agencies and providing back office support to help streamline their daily operations so they can do what they do best - SELL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Answer inbound calls
  • Respond to agent emails via a Ticket System
  • Provide agents with back-office support
  • Assist agents with commissions' questions, leads support, product information for our carriers, and more
  • Work with agents in regards to missing application items
  • On-boarding of agency accounts
  • Maintain continued positive working relationships with assigned accounts
  • Share AHCP company & benefits with inquiring agents
  • Assist agents in maintaining current licenses
  • Meet or exceed call quality metrics
  • Provide world class support on every call
  • Additional projects as available and as assigned by the Department Manager 

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional office
  • Background in account management preferred
  • Minimum of 2 year Customer Service background
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with multiple computer screens
  • Background in commissions, accounting and account management preferred
  • Additional insurance industry and medicare experience a plus!
